Fostering a Sustainable Tomorrow

Together, We Can Make a Difference

We empower the cruise industry to adopt sustainability practices at events where its decision-makers gather, all while enhancing our environmental, social, and economic impact in our host cities.

Our commitment extends to all sectors influenced by the cruise industry, connecting them to networks and knowledge that will help them address their interconnected challenges. We focus our efforts around three areas.

1
Inspiring Sustainable Development

We aim to fully integrate sustainability across our cruise brands by the end of 2025, motivating the broader cruise industry to align their efforts with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.

Actions we are taking...

The Safety and Sustainability Theatre highlights the latest innovations and advancements in cruise industry sustainability, focused on supporting the IMO’s 2030 carbon intensity reduction goals.

Long standing partnership with Mercy Ships, an international charity that operates the world's largest non-governmental hospital ships, providing surgical care, education, and community support in Africa.

Fostering diversity and inclusion in the cruise industry through diverse speakers and panels, and targeted projects such as The Professional Women in Cruise panel.

2
Running an Environmentally Responsible Event

We continually strive to become a "planet-forward" event organiser. Our main focuses are on waste, energy/carbon, water, procurement/materials, and travel.

Actions we are taking...

Better Stands programme implemented across all Seatrade Cruise events to ensure the elimination of all disposable exhibitor stands by 2030.

Prioritise sustainability by using recycled materials, eliminating single-use plastics, and reducing waste with QR codes and digital signage. All event details are available on our app—no printed guides needed!

All Seatrade Cruise events are powered by renewable energy where possible.

3
Running a Socially Responsible Event

We are committed to conducting our business safely and ethically, considerate towards wellbeing and accessibility, and create a positive measurable impact in the host cities of our events.

Actions we are taking...

Tomorrow’s Talent Today offers students free access to a curated conference programme, giving them the opportunity to explore careers in the cruise industry and network with industry professionals.

We incorporate wellness initiatives into all Seatrade Cruise events to promote overall wellbeing , such as Puppy Yoga and Wellness Lounges.

We collaborate with host cities to support local development by partnering with charities and promoting local tourism and businesses.
