Northern Gran Canaria

Banana cultivation has played a vital role in Gran Canaria ’ s economy throughout history. Today, it remains a familiar sight in the daily landscape, even though the economy has diversified into other sectors. A special dinner is planned for the evening of September 18 at Finca La Rekompensa. This beautiful banana plantation is an outstanding example of a carefully preserved Canarian estate, offering spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean. Located in Arucas, on the north coast of the island and less than three kilometres from the sea, the finca benefits from exceptional temperature and humidity conditions that are ideal for banana cultivation. The plantation provides a unique setting for a cocktail reception and dinner, where FAM Trip guests will have the opportunity to connect while enjoying local gastronomy. The evening will take place outdoors, surrounded by banana trees in an authentic Canarian atmosphere.
