With over ten years’ cruise-orientated experience in destination management services Jasem has focused on cruise tourism, contributing to Dubai becoming a Cruise HUB of the Cruise Arabia region and developing premier cruise passenger handling in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and India.
In his previous role Jasem led the cruise sector at dnata, a member of the Emirates Group, where he spearheaded a dedicated cruise department delivering high quality shore excursions and ground handling services to over one million cruise passengers in the region. Jasem’s first-hand experience of handling cruise passengers, Cruise Lines (all segments) and destination management, through enhancing the potential of heritage/attraction sites and maximizing the quality/capacity of Tourist Guides, enabled him to effectively supporting the development of emerging cruise destinations.
Over the past decade Jasem spoke at several tourism conferences and cruise summits, including special events, such as the World Tourism Day, World Museum Day and the International Tourist Guide Day. Moreover, he is an accredited international World Federation of Tourist Guides Associations trainer (WFTGA). As a voice of the cruise industry, Jasem has participated on various governmental committees, providing consultancy and logistical advice.
Jasem's current role is to focus on Cruise Consultancy expansion and the development of Destination Management opportunities, thus increasing ISS portfolio of services towards offering Cruise Lines a one stop shop of Port Agency, Shore excursions and Ground Handling services, under the umbrella of the ISS-Cruise on a worldwide scale.
