Seatrade Cruise Med 2018 will take place in Portugal at the FIL - Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre, Lisbon.

FIL – Lisbon Exhibition and Congress Centre is the biggest exhibition venue in in Portugal and is renowned as being one of the best equipped exhibition spaces in Europe. With a total space of 100,000sqm, it is frequently host to exhibitions and offers fantastic facilities for attendees.

Served with the latest in event technology, the venue also include include wifi; air conditioning and an onsite restuarant. FIL provides all services needed to ensure a successful and smooth event.

Important Travel Information

Taxi strike - Wednesday 19 September

We have been informed by the Portuguese authorities that there will be a taxi strike throughout Lisbon, all day, on Wednesday 19 September.

Please be advised that this means there will be no taxis operating on Wednesday. This also applies to taxi’s to and from the airport.

There will be a shuttle bus running from the below locations on both Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th September which are free to use for Seatrade Cruise Med attendees.

There is also the option to take the Metro which is very reliable and fast. The venue is located within walking distance to Metro Station Oriente which is on the Red Line.

Uber and mytaxi is also available in Lisbon and will be operating their car service. We advise booking your Uber or mytaxi well ahead of your scheduled departure time to allow for availability.

If you are travelling from the airport to the venue on Wednesday, there is a metro station located within the airport with frequent trains to Oriente station. For more information on planning your metro journey, please visit

Citizens of The European Union, Iceland, Norway and Switzerland do not require a visa to gain entry to Portugal. You do not need a minimum of validity in your passport or travel document to travel to the country.
