As the industry-leading community with incredible worldwide reach and influence, Seatrade Cruise puts you at the forefront of change. And right now nothing is reshaping our industry quite like expedition cruising.

The inaugural Seatrade Cruise Virtual: Expedition Cruising event launched in early March 2021 and brought together leading voices together for two days to discuss the key challenges and exciting opportunities this growing sector brings to the industry.

Attendees connected with  expedition cruise line executives responsible for itinerary planning, port and shore ex operations, expedition product development, shipbuilding, and supply.

Despite the pandemic, three new expedition cruise lines launched in 2020.  In addition to the 70 ships already in expedition cruising, newbuilds account for almost one third of the orderbook. 17 owners, including luxury cruise lines, are building at a whirlwind pace to meet consumer demand.

“With such healthy anticipated growth in such a specialised and sensitive area of the cruise industry, it is critical to the future of expedition cruising that this growth be managed sustainably and responsibly.”
