Entry tips

So you’re thinking about entering Seatrade Cruise Awards 2019? Stuck on how to start your entry? We’ve put together our five top tips to make your entry stand out from the crowd.

2. Know what you’re entering and take it seriously.

Make sure you read the entry criteria for your award- and then read it again. The criteria for each award can be different and you don’t want to miss your chance at success. Keep referring back to the award description whilst writing your entry to make sure you’re still on track. If you’re not entirely sure on something just ask!

4. How have you made a difference?

The judges want to know about the work you’ve done but they also want to know how your product or initiative has made a difference in the industry. Your entry needs to leave the judges thinking that you are an invaluable part of the cruise industry. Why  not brainstorm all your projects and consider which one scores the highest on innovation and impact- this might not be the first entry that springs to mind.

6. Don't submit your entry without proofing it.

A winning entry can take multiple drafts - it shouldn’t be done last thing on a Friday afternoon!

Proof read your entry carefully and ask your team to look over. Spelling mistakes and typos can ruin an otherwise brilliant entry. You’d be surprised by how much this can put off the judges.

Begin your entry now and make 2019 your year!
